What happens if a foreigner on a South African life-partner permit gets married to the South African counterpart while on this permit?
If a couple (South African and a foreigner) who are residing in South Africa, and the foreign partner is residing on a life-partner permit decide to get married while in South Africa, after this wonderful event has happened, the foreign partner (now spouse) will be required to apply for a new permit – a spousal permit, in order to reside with their South African spouse.
