When purchasing property in SA Can I borrow money in SA to purchase property?
Information on property finance in South Africa
The South African Reserve bank will consider lending money to all foreigners not living in South Africa. However a non-resident will only be able to borrow 50% of the purchase price of the property. The other 50% must be paid in cash from a foreign bank. Except for foreigners that have a South African work permit, they will be considered residents for the duration of their work permit.
