When purchasing a property in SA will I have to pay to have the transfer and bond documents signed overseas?
Information on Bond and Transfer Documents
Yes, it can be costly and can take up a considerable amount of time. If possible it is advisable to rather sign the documents before leaving South Africa. Another way around this is to get a special or general power of attorney in favour of either a friend or family member here in SA, or a Buyer’s Agent that you can rely on.
