What is the claim procedure for a vehicle accident in South Africa?

Claims procedure for vehicle accidents in South Africa

To submit a claim in South Africa it would involve the following:

* You would need to lodge the claim with your broker or insurance company directly, depending on your circumstances.  This would involve completing a claim form,  obtaining 3 quotations for the repairs of the vehicle, a copy of your license and the police case reference number.  All of these documents should be sent to your insurer.

* Once these documents have been received and lodged, an assessor would be appointed and would visit the client and ensure that all the details that have been declared are true and correct.  If they are satisfied that this is the case they will authorise repairs.

* You can then take your vehicle in for repairs.

Should you have had a bad experience with your current insurer and would like more efficient service in any potential future claims, Incompass Insurance Services can be of assitance.  To contact them please click here.
