What is a South African Registered Immigration Practitioner?

A South African Registered Immigration Practitioner is licensed and registered with the South African Department of Home Affairs. The applicant has to first pass a written exam based on their knowledge of the  Immigration Act and Immigration Regulations, this exam is set up by the Director General of the Department of Home Affairs. Once this person has passed this exam, a certificate with a registration number is issued to the successful Registered Immigration Practitioner.

These qualified persons are able to accept a power of attorney to handle foriegner's permit applications on their behalf.

It is advisable to always use an South African Registered Immigration company that is able to provide you with proof that they are Immigration Practitioners or Immigration attorneys.

Intergate Immigration boasts the largest team of Registered Immigration Practitioners in Cape Town.  We currently have 7 Immigration Practitioners that are practising and have contact with the Department on a regular basis.  We plan to enroll more persons in the company to become licenced Immigration Practitioners.
