Spousal Permits
As a South African who holds dual citizenship, can my spouse apply for a Spousal permit to immigrate to South Africa?
In the event that a South African holds dual citizenship (two citizenships), and has a foreign spouse, it is imperative that before immigrating to South Africa, the South African citizen confirms that the application for dual citizenship was done correctly, as to not to find out that the South African citizenship has been lost.
Thereafter, the spouse or partner of the South African citizen can apply for a South African Spousal permit in order to reside in South Africa.
