Spousal Permits
ID #1570
May a foreign spouse of a South African citizen or permanent resident operate a business?
A Spousal temporary residence permit that is valid for residing in South Africa only may not permit the holder to operate a business. A business endorsement may be applied for the holder; thereafter once, receiving this Spousal permit with endorsment, a business can be operated in South Africa legally by the foreign spouse.
