Retired Permits
ID #1468
Is working in South Africa possible while residing on a Retired temporary residence permit?
If a foreigner is applying for a Retired temporary residence permit to reside in South Africa, this permit alone does not permit the holder to work within the country.
In order to work while residing on a Retired temporary residence permit within South Africa, an endorsement is required to be added to the permit by the Department.
This endorsement is specific; therefore employment must be in place before an endorsement can be applied for.
