Work Permits
What employment opportunties are available to a foreigner with a South African work permit?
There are various employment opportunities in South Africa. For a foreigner seen as an exceptionally skilled person, the employment opportunities would be specific to their qualifications.
For those foreigners who would obtain a Quota work permit, the Department issues a list (Quota Work List) of skills that are seen as scarce in South Africa on a yearly basis, making the options slightly easier to the applicant who is applying, as the list details each skill on this list.
While there are many opportunities in the employment world, each case is different and each individual foreigner who would like to obtain a work permit should seek advice from a Registered Immigration Practitioner in order to avoid future problems or difficulties once arriving in South Africa.
